Donation Fail
So yesterday I was like the camel that was so thirsty he drank 25 gallons of water in 3 minutes. OK so that may be an a bit extreme but you get the idea. I was hydrating and making sure I was all set to go to the Red Cross blood drive this morning.
I was really excited it was my first time donating. I answer the 20 questions. Drink my bottle of water they give me. I get in the chair and first arm instant vein blown. Your kidding me right because that hurt like a mother. Second arm that vein was running and ducking. In other words my veins suck! So here are my war wounds. I am not discouraged. I will be going in two weeks and trying again. I just need to tell them I need IV therapist. Apparently they are the elite of all blood suckers. Why didn’t you call them in after the first on blew? I get it that would be the normal thing to do.

with out the bandages can I tell you how sore my arms are? Like I did Paul’s Muscle failure today

These are all from tonight only worse… Guess the paper wasn’t kidding when it said that I would see a rainbow

In all seriousness the Red Cross needs all the donors it can get. So go and donate. The whole process takes about an hour. It could mean your helping save someones life. What a great feeling. Like I said in two weeks I will be doing this all over again.

I always tell them that I have bad veins and they better get someone good to do it or I walk. They always look at me like I have 3 heads.
Then I tell tell them I’m a former nurse and they hop to it like nobody’s business.
