(photo courtasy of the turret news.)
Hello Everyone:
I want to introduce you to SGT First Class Kelvin France. He works as a Drill Sergeant for the Marauders Platoon at Fort Knox. He is in a contest sponsored by Mitchum. He is trying to win the 100,000 grand prize. He is busy training my husband to become the next generation of American Soldiers.
I learned a great deal from his video that as a civilian we don’t know. While I am sacrificing my husband for 9 weeks 4 days for training. His family is sacrificing their time with SGT First Class France. For me I thought they did a 7-3 or whatever type shift. This man is up before the roosters and comes home long after dark. His children don’t get to see him and his daughter states it in their video.
Learn what it takes to be a American Solider. Your freedom isn’t free. We have men like him to thank for getting our Soliders prepared and it continues down the line.
To vote is simple You click here. Vote for him once a day through 8/15. Let’s help him. win.
He was featured this week by The Turret News, which is the Fort Knox News paper. Here is a quote from the story that struck me
It’s an honor just to be recognized in the top ten,” he said. “This is about Soldiers taking care of Soldiers.”
“Every piece of training is critical to Soldiers,” Capt. Halloran explained. “Attention to detail is so important. We teach them not to move in formation, we make them pay attention to instructions. But they must learn to pay attention to survive. If they don’t learn it here from someone who has been there—they never will learn it.”
“If I don’t give them 100 percent, I feel like I’m cheating them,” Sgt. 1st Class France added. “They need these skills to survive on the battlefield.”
He was chosen out of 148 videos that were submitted. He is doing an amazing job. Now stop reading and go vote for him!!!! He so Deserves this.
Thank You SGT First Class France for the phone call from my husband today. It was much needed after a stressful week. Hope to talk with him again tomorrow. Thank you for all that you do for your Platoon. Paul talks very highly of you in his letters home.
