Our Time with Paul

We got to spend the weekend with Paul. While we didn’t have him for overnights we had him for 12 plus hours and it was fantastic. We were able to make memories and reconnect as a family.

The boys had so much fun with him. Whether it was a pig pile on Daddy or snuggling close. I have to say when the kids napped I enjoyed snuggling up and watching a movie.  All was right with the world again this weekend. We were whole again.

I think this Dad has forgotten what a handful these boys can be. Thank God for the playground. Though surprised by the rudeness there. We also learned a lot from the Colonel that was was walking through that day. We so appreciate his advice.

I think when all was said and done Daddy realized he can’t keep up with little men. I made them lunch to find this

We are just thankful for a four day weekend to spend and get in good quality time with Paul. We all needed this weekend more than you know. We just needed the time to connect and regroup as a family. We only have a few months left. We can do this. We have made it this far. Its the simple things we take for granted. Movie night is a favorite in our home. It was nice to do popcorn, movies and to have daddy apart of it. I was happy to have a few nights of not battling bath time.

I am now counting down the days until I get to spend a weekend alone with him in October. Our friend Jen is staying with kids , dog and house. We owe her big time!!!!!!!!!!
