Ronneburg Castle

[ 5 ] April 18, 2011 |

We did the Medieval Ostermarkt. It was tons of fun. The kids loved seeing everyone dressed up that we are contemplating going on the first for another festival they are having. It is less than hour from where we are which makes it convenient.

Our over all experience was amazing. Everyone is friendly and happy. Most spoke English. If they didn’t know how to get it across they got someone one who could translate. Our German is getting there but It wasn’t just German vendors. We had people from other countries as well. We ate well. Our favorite was the Apfel Kringle and This open garlic bread thing. So yummy. The kids loved the apple donuts they ate.

We watched jugglars. The kids rode Donkeys. Yes I let them ride a jackass. Don’t act like you have never wanted to ride one either. We pet sheep and lambs. They were oh so cute. Our favorite picture is of a little lamb sleeping. He was eating and eating. Then it was like he hit is thanksgiving day fill and passed out. All in five minutes.

The view from up high was incredible. We had a blast. I suggest everyone attends. Wednesday will be photos of a silk scarf I made. It came out amazing! So much fun. They show how the fabrics were colored way back when.
